Gardening with Water Crystals
Make plants beautiful by using less
water! Even in the desert!
Cut Flowers & Bamboo Shoots
Put
one teaspoon of Water
Crystals (any size) into your vase, fill with 2 cups
of water. Add more water each week. You can add liquid
colorant for added effect, but it will probably color
the flowers too.
Potted Plants
First soak
crystals in water, then follow this chart for amount of hydrated
crystals to mix into dirt:
6" pot (approx. 2/3 gallon) - 2 cups hydrated
crystals
8" pot (approx. 1 ½ gallon) - 6 cups hydrated
crystals
10" pot (3 gallons) - 8 cups hydrated
crystals
11" pot (5 gallons) - 1 gallon hydrated
crystals
Mix the crystals into the lower half of the
pot and have the top half just dirt alone. In this way,
the crystals are most effective at soaking up the water.
Vegetable Gardens
Mix in 1-4 pounds of dry SoapCrafters Water
Crystals per 100 square feet (4 pounds for hardly any rain in your area),
for each 6" of depth. Mix well, plant and give it a very good soaking.
Happy Gardening!
