Variations:

For an extra fluffy product, whip the body butter once it has cooled and starts to solidify.  It won't whip if it is too hot, and it needs to be softened some if it has turned solid.  Use a blender or a stick blender to do the whipping.

Luxurious Goat’s Milk Body Butter

.33oz liquid glycerin
1 oz stearic acid
1.6 oz ewax
0.8 mango butter
1 oz avocado oil
0.7 oz jojoba oil
1 oz apricot kernel oil
1 oz soy oil
13 oz distilled water
5.4 oz aloe
8.8 oz pasteurized goat’s milk
1 tsp vitamin e
1.5 oz preservative(a broad spectrum anti microbial/anti fungal is needed due to the goat’s milk)
½ tsp blue lilac fragrance (if desired)

Other needed items:
scale
4, 8 oz salve jars
Stick Blender

Put the first 9 ingredients (liquid glycerin to the aloe) in a large microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. While it is microwaving, pour the goat’s milk into a glass measuring cup. After the 3 minutes stir the mixture and then put the bowl and the measuring cup with the goat’s milk into the microwave. Heat on high for 2 minutes. Take the containers out of the microwave and check them. You want to heat until all the ingredients are melted (about 5-10 minutes depending on your microwave). The ingredients in your bowl will look milky when they have melted completely. Do not heat to boiling. The goat’s milk will also feel quite warm. When the first nine ingredients have melted and the goat’s milk is warm, mix the aloe in with the goat’s milk. Now you’re ready to mix! Pout the warm goat’s milk and aloe into the melted mixture and mix with a stick blender or hand mixer for about 2 minutes. Let mixture sit for about 10 minutes then stick blend it for about 2 minutes. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes then blend for 1 minute. About this time it should be starting to get thick and creamy. Let it sit for another five minutes and then blend in the vitamin e, preservative and fragrance. Spoon into jars.

Keep your unused product clean:

When using body butters, you should use a one use type of size.  Every time you dip your fingers into the jar, you are introducing bacteria from your hands.  If you use a larger jar for many uses, use a spoon or stick to remove the butter from the jar and never actually put your fingers in to the jar. This way you can use your larger jar many times without building up bacteria in the product.
