How to Make Bath Melts

Recipes
Bath Melts

Bath melts are much more fun than bath oils.
Here is an easy to make recipe.

1/4 Cup Mango Butter
1/3 cup Sea Salt
1 tiny scoop Water based Dye
1/4 teaspoon Essential Oil
The Plain Heart guest soap mold

Melt about 1/4 cup Mango Butter in a small pot on the stove.Remove from heat.

Mix about 1/3 cup of sea salt with one tiny scoop (that came with your colorant) of dye into the salt.  Add 1/4 teaspoon of essential oil.   Stir well.

Put sea salt mixture into molds.  It should make about 3.  Leave a little additional room in the mold.

Pour the mango butter over the salt in the molds.

Carefully put the mold in the freezer.  After about an hour remove from freezer.  Remove the bath melts from the mold.  If they give you trouble then use your hair dryer on the mold to slightly melt the oil and it'll slip out.

Keep the Bath melts in the freezer or refrigerator until you are ready to use one.  They will get very soft and mushy at room temperature.

Use only half the bath melt in your bath.  As you are filling your tub, toss in the bath melt half. There is enough color in there to color your bath water.  The scent explodes and the water is a wonderful mixture of salt and oils for your luxurious bath.  Be careful getting out of the tub because it will leave it slippery!

This recipe should yield about 3 Bath Melts.
