african black soap

The page you requested does not exist. A search for recipes shredded african resulted in this page.

I was just wondering if I can melt and pour this and scent it as well? Thanks New to soap making.

melting African black soap

Thanks, What I did this am was melt shea butter, oil, etc together & mix it briskly with warm African Black Soap. I put it in a pet jar & will use it that way. Kim

I don't know the actual

I don't know the actual melting point, but it won't turn liquid. It is more like runny mashed potatoes.

melting point of African Black Soap

What is the melting point of Black African Soap? My directions say you can melt it with the other ingredients I am using to pour into my molds & it doesn't become liq enough to mix with the other melt & pour. What I have is sticky to begin with. Thanks, Kim

can anyone tell me how to

can anyone tell me how to make liquid african black soap?

Yeah, the back of the soap

Yeah, the back of the soap will do that if the mixture is really thick.
You might try using a lower oven temperature. Probably too much of the liquid is evaporating out during melting. But, on the other hand, it will be a bit rough on the back of the soap.
Adding additional liquid is never a good idea because when it cures, all that liquid evaporates out of the soap. If you use too much then they shrink all sunken in and it looks really bad.

African black soap

I followed the directions and while the front of the molded soap looked OK, the back was all lumpy.

You sure can. You need to

You sure can. You need to chop it up first in about 1/2"-1" chunks then follow the instructions on how to melt soap. You can add milk, fragrance, etc. There isn't much point to adding color as it is a dark bluish black color naturally. But you can pour it into a mold just like any other soap.
