hi all
i just made a batch of soap
and after several days in the insulation blankets it has hardened but a 1/2 inch layer of unsoaponified oil is on top
what caused this?
i also realised my sodium hydroxide has soaked up moisture from the air. my container is not as air tight as i thought. so i think my lye/water solution was to weak

is there anyway to fix this batch?
this is 22 lb batch, so i really want to try and fix it

also if i try and dry out my S.H. will it give off any toxic fumes?
i though of spreading out a tray of it on the hearth by the wood stove but i don't want to poison the family
