Make creamy, dreamy lotion and rich “whipped” cream without the hassle… no scales or thermometers needed! How cool is that :-)

Simply Delightful Lotion

You will need:

A stick blender
2 cups of our Aloe Vera Liquid
3 T mango butter
1 T each of jojoba, almond, avocado & apricot kernel oils
2 tsp liquid glycerin
¾ tsp vitamin E
2 T stearic acid
8 tsp emulsifying wax
½ tsp citric acid
¼ to ½ tsp soap making fragrance
5 drops soap making liquid colorant

An antimicrobial is not necessary because our Aloe Vera Liquid has enough commercial preservative in it to protect your lotion and creams. Be sure to keep the mixture containing the Aloe Liquid under 130 degrees.

Combine everything except color and fragrance in a glass bowl. Heat in the microwave until all the ingredients are melted (about 5-10 minutes depending on your microwave). It will look milky when it has melted completely. Do not heat to boiling.

Stir it well to make sure all the ingredients have melted. If there are any un-melted ingredients, microwave for another minute or so until melted.
Blend with a stick blender for 2 minutes.

Hand stir for one minute and then stick blend for 2 more minutes. Add fragrance and color if desired.

Let it sit for 20 minutes. Stick blend for 1 minute and then pour into bottles. After it has cooled completely (about 40 more minutes) put pumps or lids on the bottles.
