Creme Rinse & Leave in Conditioner

3 Tablespoons of Soap Crafters Conditioning Pellets (Discontinued Item)
1 Tablespoon Thickener
47 oz. of tap or distilled water
2 Tablespoons of Nature's Jelly
2 Tablespoons of Avocado or Soy Oil
3 teaspoons. Soap Crafters Fragrance
20-40 drops of Liquid Colorants
11 4oz. Clear Bottles & Caps
Yields, five 8 oz. bottles and one 4 oz. bottle

Dissolve conditioner pellets in 23 oz 140F degree water. Stir to dissolve. You might have to use a stick blender.

After it has fully dissolved, heat 24 oz of water to 140F degrees. While your water is heating, mix the dissolved conditioner pellets with a stick blender. (your mixture will get very white and look almost like cream.)

When your water reaches the right temp, using a stick blender to mix with, slowly add the thickener to the water while mixing with the blender. You want to do this like you're making gravy, add it slowly so you don't get lumps. Usually by the time you are done adding the thickener, the mixture is already quite thick. If it's not, stir by hand until it gets thick.

Add scent and color (if desired) to the dissolved conditioner. Mix well.

Then use a stick blender to blend the conditioner mixture, into the thickener/water mixture.
Add the other ingredients, scent, color, stir with a stick blender and then pour it into the bottles.

To use the finished product, you can rub it into your hair after shampooing and then rinse. Or you can use a very small amount and leave it in on your hair!

You can substitute 1/3rd of the water with our Aloe Liquid if you desire. Our Aloe Liquid has enough professional antimicrobial to protect your batch from growing bacteria, mold, yeast, etc.

I haven't really played

I haven't really played around with fresh milk in this type of thing so I don't know how it does. I know milk in soaps is great, but the water evaporates out so there is no sour smell. I'm guessing the aloe, if you used 1/3rd of the recipe with it would keep the milk from turning, but I don't know.

At any rate, we need a new recipe for this because we no longer carry those conditioner pellets. We have a different kind, a conditioner flake which acts completely different. It doesn't need any thickener for example. So we need to take this recipe to the drawing board and start over.

Adding Goat's Milk?

I am a goat milk fanatic (own miniature goats and use their milk for products). Just curious if it'd be possible to add a little goat's milk to this? Maybe in replacement of some of the water but also incorporate the Aloe Liquid for protection? I always hesitate to experiment. . . maybe someone more knowlegdeable than me already knows the answer! Thanks - I love this place! :D

It is fun to experiment and

It is fun to experiment and discover new ways of doing things, isn't it?
Just a note, we no longer sell those conditioner pellets. They were discontinued and we can no longer get them.
We now sell a conditioner flake which is still awesome, but different. It no longer requires thickener.

Hair Conditioner

I changed the hair conditioner recipe around a bit, made only half a batch, using the Aloe to preserve it, but omited the thickener.
This works pretty well if you wash your hair as you normally would and then put about a half tablespoon of the conditioner in your hand, rub it in while the shampoo is still in your hair, then leave it on a few minutes before rinsing.
Lots less heavy that way and SOFT.
I used the Avacado oil over soy, and a few drops of Walnut oil,
Make sure to shake the bottle before using
